Novel Chitosan Derivatives and Their Multifaceted Biological Applications

چکیده

Chitosan is a rather attractive material, especially because of its bio-origins as well generation from exoskeletal waste. As the mantle has been effectively transferred chitin to chitosan, so it extrapolated in-house synthesized novel chitosan derivatives. This review comprehensively lists available derivatives (ChDs) and summarizes their biological applications. The fact that do comprise multifaceted applications attested by voluminous reports on varied contributions. However, this points out there selective focus bio functions such antifungal, antioxidant, antibacterial, whereas other biomedical antiviral remain relatively less explored. With current functionality record, definitely no doubt plethora ChDs will have profound impact unexplored aspects. lacuna room for future exploration.
